A Different Kind of Pumpkin Visitation

I must admit today was another Adventure!

Today I was scheduled for an Esophogastroduodenoscopy.  If you can pronounce this word on first try I will send you $10 bucks.

So it all started out with a visit to Orangeville Hospital.  Not far from the Niagara Escarpment.

If you look very closely you will see me in the bed on the right

At first I was nervous because other bed neighbours were not feeling that well, but I gritted my teeth and hoped that soon all would be tricky boo. I mean ticky-boo. After all it was only a thin, baby finger sized, flexible tube with a light and camera that was going to go into my mouth, down the esophagus, into the stomach, and then top of stomach, snip, snip.

I always figure having a good looking Doctor makes me feel better. Was I being sexist?

There were lots of laughing nurses around for which I was grateful

Lots of black humour.

Anyways to make a long story short they said it only took 10 minutes. I do not remember a thing, felt pretty good afterwards, but did think the one nurse looked a little odd, in recovery afterwards…

So, this weekend, when you go out for Halloween Trick or Treating, think of me.  Do take a flashlight.
